Weekend Security Coverage for 1st and 2nd shifts
Location: Lyons, GA
Schedule: Saturday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM
Shift Structure: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day & Night)
Compensation: $15.00/hour
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Security Officers to provide weekend coverage at a manufacturing facility in Lyons, GA. This role is critical in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-monitored environment during non-operational hours. This role ensures the property remains secure, free of hazards, and compliant with all site requirements through routine patrols and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Monitoring & Patrols
Conduct hourly facility walks throughout the building and exterior areas.
Inspect production floors, breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas for: Water leaks or puddles, Fallen or unsafe material/product stacks, & Verify alarm system status shows System Normal
Access Control & Building Security:
Ensure all entrances remain secure, including-
Front office vestibule
Main employee entrance
Monitor for any unauthorized access or suspicious activity
Yard & Exterior Oversight:
Patrol yard and warehouse dock areas to ensure: No unauthorized vehicles are present, No packages are left unattended outside, Retrieve any deliveries (UPS/FedEx) and place them in designated indoor location.
Incident Response & Reporting:
Report any safety concerns, security issues, or irregularities immediately
Maintain clear and accurate activity logs during each shift
Escalate emergencies to designated site contacts as needed
Staffing & Schedule Details:
Coverage runs continuously from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM
Two officers rotate 12-hour day and night shifts to ensure consistent coverage
Typical shifts:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Qualifications:
Prior security, facility monitoring, or related experience preferred
Ability to work 12-hour shifts (day or night)
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and reporting skills
Work Environment & Expectations
Routine walking and standing for extended periods
Indoor and outdoor patrols required
Must follow all site safety rules, including no smoking inside the facility
