Job Title:Team Lead

Location: Vidalia, GA

Pay rate: $18/hr

Shift: 2nd (3:00PM - 11:30PM)

Job Type: Full time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Production Lead produces product, meeting or exceeding established standards by utilizing complex machinery. In addition, mentor and develop associates in meeting production goals and requirements while focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost. Assist in continuous improvement, training and development, auditing, and become an expert in the fabrication processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead Roles/Responsibilities

Mentor and develop associates

Assist in training and development

Complete new hire orientation and ISO training forms

Support and recommend cross training needs

Look for ways to eliminate waste and recommend to supervisor/Operation manager Facilitate 3 way communication as needed

Actively participate in committees

Participate in continuous improvement brain storming and processes

Work with engineer and R&D on prototype development

Assist with new part introduction and review prior to going to floor

Support QP3, near miss reporting and other company programs

Accurately produces quality product by use of machines

Other duties:

Packs finished goods

Operates compactor

Physical Demands Stand, walk, kneel and climb as needed

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs and on occasion lift and/or move 50 lbs with/without the use of material handling equipment

Climb up to eight feet on occasion

Ability to communicate clearly with other associates and contract labor

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience Work cell environment experience preferred 1-2 years as a lead or in a developing role to be a lead

EDUCATION &/or CERTIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Proficient with MS Office ERP/MRP experience/skillset

Adept communication skills

Ability to read a ruler within 1/16 inch accurately

Knowledge of using a calculator

Basic math skills, including calculating linear/square footage and work with fractions Read/Understand blueprints
