Shipping (2nd Shift)
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving professional to join our team. The Shipping position plays a crucial role in our organization by ensuring accurate and timely shipment of products to customers and receiving incoming shipments. As a Shipping and Receiving team member, you will be responsible for verifying and recording incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently and accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments as a Shipping and Receiving specialist.
2. Verify contents of shipments against records and visually inspect incoming and outgoing items for damage.
3. Package items securely for safe transport and create shipping labels using shipping software.
4. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
5. Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and other team members to ensure smooth shipping and receiving operations.
6. Assist in identifying ways to improve shipping and receiving processes for increased efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a Shipping and Receiving role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
