Job Description

SUMMARY: Technical sales; including trouble shooting and selection of appropriate rotary joints for individual applications. All duties involved in selling and promoting rotary joints in assigned sales area. Maintain existing customer base, increase customer base, training of resellers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Increase sales and meet sales targets as per yearly defined goals

Sales projections to be developed based on realistic sales and/or quotes

Prospecting

Maintenance of existing customer base by regular and timely visits, phone contact, e-mail

Detailed visit reporting

Recognize client concerns, interact regarding issues with management in a timely and professional manner

In general 4 days travel, 1 day office work is required.

Any other job duties as required

Education and/or Experience: 5 years or more sales experience in industrial environments; mechanical engineering degree desirable Technical Skills: Ability to read blue prints, ability to understand the operation and functions of rotary joints and related machinery.


Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Licenses: A valid C driver s license is required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Ability to use different forms of transportation, such as car, rail, air etc. to carry out job related essential functions on a daily basis

Ability to perform physical activities such as climb stairs, ladders, walk on elevated walk-ways, crawl underneath machines in customers production plant facilities in order to identify rotary joint types, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment and a warehouse and repair shop environment. Customer visits will also entail to be in production plant facilities. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally noisy
