Job Description

KEY RESULTS:

Inspect all incoming broth, ingredients, film, trays, dividers, hand wrap film, glue, and labels reporting any critical defects observed. Dispatch materials to production areas on a request frequency. Verify counts and products are correct on pallets. Avoid damage to materials during the storing and or removal process. Always follow FIFO when pulling materials from racking. Assist in cycle counts when needed. Collect samples as needed in efforts to assist in the reporting of damage product. Report all problems to your supervisor immediately. Notify production if there is any reason why the request cannot be completed. Maintain a clean work area. Comply with Company Policies and Safety Procedures.

SPECIFIC TASKS:

  1. Perform Reach Truck inspection at the beginning of each shift. Report problems to supervisor immediately.
  2. Store all incoming materials in assigned areas in racking.
  3. Check for damaged wood pallets and have them changed out before placing them onto the rack.
  4. Inspect all incoming broth, ingredients, film, trays, dividers, hand wrap film, glue, and labels document defects found, and notify QC Supervisor of any critical defects.
  5. Note- For all critical defects provide all pertinent information regarding the identification of the defect materials necessary for a SCAR to be completed by QC.
  6. As needed, collect samples for QC, and Food Safety for analysis and inspections of held materials.
  7. Use FIFO when removing pallets from the rack for request.
  8. Complete a weekly inventory of all pallets in rack area by the end of each week.
  9. Pallets that are defective, on hold, or tags that do not match up are NOT to be placed into the rack at any time. (Notify Supervisor if any are found).
  10. Dispatch materials to production areas as requested are placed.
  11. If a pallet is dropped from any height for any reason, it is to be reported immediately to the supervisor.
  12. Assist in cycle count when necessary.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  14. Comply with Company policies and safety requirements.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
  2. Minimum 1 year Manufacturing experience
  3. Basic math skills.
  4. Communication skills.
  5. Multi task with minimum supervision.
  6. Able to work any shift including overtime, rotating shifts and/or weekends
