Job Title: Production Associates

Location: Vidalia, GA

Pay Rate: $13.00

Shift: 1st Shift

Job Type: Full Time


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Fabricates insulation product, meeting or exceeding established standards by means that may include assembly operations and/or complex machinery


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.   Produces Product by use of machine.                                     

a.   Assures operational status of machine at beginning of shift

b.   Reviews work order to determine type and quantity of production materials needed.

c.    Verifies that material received from Warehouse Associate matches material listed on work order.

d.   Sets up appropriate equipment making necessary adjustments/loads/feeds material into machine.

e.   Performs required quality inspections according to the quality policy and fills out required forms and obtains any necessary verifications

f.     Removes finished product from machine and labels/packs as per the work order instructions              

g.   Clocks into/out of work orders and issues raw materials used and inputs finished good quantities produced

2.   Maintains Machine and work area

a.   Clean up machine and area around machine

b.   Ensure operational status and contact maintenance if there is a problem

3.   Produces product by Assembly                              

4.   Other Duties.                                                             

a.   Packs finished goods

b.   Any other duties as requested     

5.   Temporary Associates are not authorized to complete LOTO, PM/CM, and/or train other associates.

                               

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

        High school diploma or equivalent general education degree

        Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English

        Use and read a ruler to within 1/16 of an inch

        Accurately complete basic math skills including calculating linear/square footage and work with fractions using a calculator.

        Ability to understand drawings and follow work instructions.

        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance, on a regular basis.

        Previous manufacturing/machine operation experience

                                               

Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an    

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and on occasion lift and/or move 50 pounds, with or without the use of material handling equipment. The employee must have average manual dexterity. The employee must have average vision, with or without correction. The employee must have the ability to communicate.
