Order Picking/Packing
Job Description
A. KEY RESULTS:
Take all products from assigned locations and complete all partials orders in a timely manner. Pull product by FIFO and observing all codes and tags. Place pallets once completed in the assigned area. Repair any pallets when needed. Complete pallets when partials arrive making sure the tags add up to the quantity on the pallet. Assist in maintaining warehouse goals of 100% accuracy in daily shipments. Report all problems to Supervisor in a timely manner. Comply with all Company policies and Safety procedures.
B. SPECIFIC TASKS:
1. Receive all instructions from Supervisor / Lead at beginning of shift.
2. Fill forklift inspection sheet before using a forklift at all times or when using a hand pallet jack.
3. If not certified have reach driver provide pallets needed for orders.
4. Verify Pick List has all information necessary to pull order
5. If any product or count is unclear verify before pulling items.
6. Verify that the order is being shipped on brown pallet or Chep before beginning to pull product.
7. Never operate a reach forklift or any forklift without proper certification or authorization from Supervisor.
8. Pull product in an organized manner not to block rows or traffic lanes.
9. Pull product using FIFO and observing codes and tags.
10. Verify that once the pallet is complete the tags on the pallet add up to the amount that is on the pallet.
11. Wrap the pallet with stretch wrap film so the cases are securely on the pallet.
12. Place the order number on each items pulled for that order so they will not be mixed in another order or row.
13. If you need to walk away from an order make sure you mark where you left off so the next person can continue and complete the order.
14. Once the order is complete place all unused pallets pulled back to assigned area with the correct tag on the pallet.
15. If split tags are needed then they should be done at the time needed.
16. Never make extra copies of a pick list without the authorization of the supervisor.
17. If a product cannot be located notify the Supervisor immediately.
18. Any damages found or created they must be reported and repaired if possible.
19. If cans are destroyed they must be reported on the Destroy Form and turned in at the end of shift.
20. The area must be kept clean and clear of dirt, plastic etc.
21. Work closely with forklift operators when orders are being made.
22. Assist in pulling product for orders when needed.
23. Maintain a clean working warehouse.
24. Assist in any other task assigned by Supervisor
