Immediate opening for Janitorial forklift driver

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (mandatory OT and Fridays may be needed)

Pay rate $14.50/hr

Tasks:

1. Complete forklift inspections sheet at beginning of shift if first person using lift. Fill propane tank or electrical charge when necessary. Report any problems to supervisor immediately.
2. Report to supervisor, for instructions on day s activities.
3. Remove all trash bins from inside facility and transport to compactor. Run compactor. May require raingear and need performed multiple times daily.
4. Remove all broken or damaged pallets from inside facility designated collection areas.
5. Remove cardboard bales from inside facility and place in designated area outside.
6. Remove recycle plastic bales from inside facility and place in designated area outside.
7. Assist in removal of tuna scraps from building by loading on transport truck. Operators are responsible for making sure that attachments are in place and that the bin is locked down prior to transporting it. Attention: If a bin is not operable do not use it. Report immediately. Load cardboard and plastic bales on transport truck.
8. Load empty drums and pallets into designated waste receptacles.
9. Follow forklift safety rules at all times.
10. When driving in the plant, lights should always be on, seat belt should be worn.
11. If an accident occurs, it should be reported immediately to your supervisor.
12. When lifting a safety cage should always be used.
13. Never leave forklift running or forks off ground.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
15. Comply with company policies and safety requirements.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Minimum 1year Manufacturing experience
3. Able to work any shift including overtime and/or weekends
4. Able to read, write and speak English
5. Must have forklift certification
6. Able to work under pressure
7. Safely follow directions / multi-task
