Quality Inspector
Job Description
Seeking an Experienced Quality Inspector who is a dependable, Detail- Oriented, Autonomous, and dedicated individual with a strong background in metal fabrication (Carbon and Stainless Steel) to join our team. The successful candidate will be a good team player and possess a can do mentality.
Skills:
- Day to day interaction with shop employees including all levels of management.
- Perform, In-Process, Final Inspection and Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR).
o Experience with dimensional inspection and documenting results.
o Experience with inspecting welds for cold welds, porosity, and fusion of weld.
o Ensure tolerances are held by performing visual and dimensional inspection of finished product.
o Ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints
o Maintain timely and accurate documentation and checklists for all inspections or tests
o Perform receiving inspections on incoming product.
- Suggest changes and improving processes to increase productivity and competitiveness.
- Ensure conformance to all specifications, internal work tickets and shop procedures.
- Issue internal and supplier non-conformance reports when defective parts have been identified.
- Assist on customer complaints during the investigation process.
- Recommend changes in SOP s, blueprints, production standards, and other actions that will improve operations performance.
- Develop a strong relationship with Engineering/Manufacturing/Sales
- Responsible for the inspection of incoming, in process and before delivery of finished product.
- Records and manages any NCs detected at the entrance, during the process and at the end;

Individual Capabilities Required:
Customer focused attitude
Analytical and detailed oriented.
Experience with using Quality Inspection Tools (Calipers, Mics, Gages, etc...)
Print Reading
Good people and communication skills
Familiar with different types of metal and non-destructive examination.
Knowledge in welding, machining, and assembly.
Familiarity with ASME, AWS, ASTM, CEMA and ISO 9000 specifications.
Experience with quality systems, quality auditors and third-party inspectors.
Preferable background in quality and calibration.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and review Procedure/Instruction manuals.
Lean Manufacturing approach
Able to accept direction and guidance.
Required Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent
