Material Handlers
Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receives incoming orders, selects the correct part from the warehouse, and loads into dollies for staging the sequence order.
Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
When problems arise, resolve issues with Supervisors and Leadership.
Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
- Outstanding attendance and punctuality
- Multi-tasking
- Time management skills
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen and background.
- Steel Toe shoes required.
Education and Experience:
- At least two years of related experience in warehousing or manufacturing required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 20-25 pounds at a time.
- Having the ability to push, pull, lift, bend and stand throughout the shift.
- Must wear safety gear, such as gloves when handling box cutters or similar tools.
