Job Title: Refrigerated Straight Truck Driver (LTL)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Refrigerated Straight Truck Driver to join our client's transportation team. This role involves transporting less-than-truckload (LTL) refrigerated freight to multiple delivery locations while maintaining proper temperature control and product integrity. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong time management, and a commitment to safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a refrigerated straight truck to transport LTL freight to designated delivery locations
- Perform multiple daily pickups and deliveries while adhering to scheduled routes and timelines
- Monitor and maintain proper temperature settings to ensure product quality and compliance
- Load, unload, and secure freight using proper material handling techniques and equipment
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and bills of lading
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates, delays, or issues
Qualifications:
- Valid driver s license (CDL may be required depending on vehicle classification)
- Previous experience driving refrigerated or delivery trucks preferred
- Experience with LTL deliveries and multiple stops is a plus
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT regulations
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, lift gates, or other material handling equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage delivery schedules independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 75 lbs when loading or unloading freight
- Ability to enter and exit the truck frequently during multi-stop routes
- Capable of working in varying weather conditions during deliveries
