Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker to join our team. As a Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and gathering products for shipment or delivery. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure that the correct items are picked and prepared for further processing. The position requires strong physical stamina, excellent time management, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Responsibilities:
1. Use picking sheets or digital systems to identify and locate items required for orders.
2. Carefully and accurately select products from designated storage areas using standard picking methods.
3. Verify the identity and condition of items picked against the order specifications.
4. Pack picked items securely to prevent damage during transportation.
5. Maintain detailed records of picked items and update inventory management systems accordingly.
6. Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking quotas and identify any discrepancies or issues.
7. Organize and maintain a clean and orderly picking area, ensuring that supplies and equipment are readily available.
8. Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and report any stock discrepancies.
9. Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a Picker or in a similar role is preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking orders.
4. Ability to effectively and efficiently navigate through a warehouse or storage area.
5. Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items repeatedly.
6. Proficient in using inventory management systems and handheld devices.
7. Outstanding time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with fellow team members and supervisors.
9. Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to identify potential hazards or risks.
