Summary/Objective:

The Freight Administrator/Coordinator is responsible for the inbound logistical coordination and day-to-day oversight of product movements from supplier base to its customers locations nationwide.

Duties include:
Schedule, coordinate, and manage FTL and/or LTL freight pickups and deliveries from supplier base to customer locations nationwide
Prioritize tasks each day so that the most important tasks are completed to maximize customer satisfaction
Follow-up and follow-through with items to ensure that problems are resolved and tasks are completed in a timely manner
Ensure that multiple freight pickups and deliveries are moving at the same time
Organize resources so that information can be accessed quickly when needed
Develop and implement strategic and Logistics initiatives; supports Logistic Manager to achieve company s long-term and short-term goals
Build competitive advantages and generate the best value propositions to Logistics and our customers in a sustainable way;
Enhance the development of a customer-oriented mindset within organization across all functions;
Prepares accurate bill of ladings

Physical Demands:
Sitting for extended periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, copier, and other computer components

Must have ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
Ability to think critically essential.
Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively to all stakeholders
Must be able to multi-task and make financial impactful decisions in a fast-paced environment
Project and time management skills, ability to work with a team

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:

Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office suite skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics (truckload and less than truckload logistics) preferred
High School Diploma/GED required
Minimum 2 year college degree and/or commensurate work experience


Additional Requirements:

Flexible to work overtime as needed
