SelecSource Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the McDonough, GA.

Responsible for operating and repairing any problems within the facility. Stay proactive and keep everything in good running shape. Must be able to use drills, saws, and hammer to fix things when needed. Must be able to read a tape measure as well. May be asked to change out bulbs, paint, repair walls, assist with moving around objects, etc.

Key Competencies:

• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests from residents, addressing issues such as leaks, malfunctioning appliances, and heating or cooling problems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize disruptions and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair details, and inventory of parts used.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work adheres to safety regulations and building codes. Promote a safe working environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other maintenance staff and management to coordinate tasks and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a residential apartment, hotel, or nursing home setting.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repair techniques. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
